High Altitude Balloon Launch – Fall 2019

In fall 2019, through the Amateur Radio Club at Cornell University, we were able to launch a high altitude balloon to the edge of space.

This year, we were able to get our camera payload functioning and was able to take footage of the launch, landing, and the burst of the balloon based on altitude. Also, through ATV transmitters, were able to take footage from the flight and livestream it onto YouTube. We also were able to stream footage from our phones to provide updates to viewers.

We were able to successfully track and retrieve the payload.
